Student Volunteer Travel Grants

The organizers of the DSN conference announce the availability of travel grants for students volunteers to partially offset the cost of attending DSN 2025.

Student volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring that the conference runs smoothly. Being a volunteer is also an excellent opportunity to build your network. You get the opportunity to not only connect and interact with leading academic and industrial researchers and practitioners but also meet other students from all over the world with a shared interest in dependable and secure computing.

As a volunteer, you will be asked to support registration procedures and to help coordinate sessions and social events, thus actively contributing to the success of DSN 2025! Despite work commitments, you will also have the opportunity to attend the sessions of your interest.

To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in a degree program at the time of DSN 2025. Moreover, they must be proficient in English and have good social and communication skills.

The student authors of accepted papers in any of the conference tracks are especially welcome to apply. Level of participation, such as authoring a regular main track paper or presenting work in progress at the Doctoral Forum, will be used as a priority criterion in awarding the grants. Students from under-represented groups, those attending the conference for the first time, and the undergraduate students are also encouraged to apply.

To apply, fill the application format available here, providing the requested information and summarizing your motivation for serving as a student volunteer, your organizational skills, your willingness to help, you proficiency in English, and anything else that will help us to select you as a student volunteer.

Faculty advisors of the graduate student applicants must provide a written statement regarding availability (or lack thereof) of travel funds for the students and commit to covering the cost of travel in excess of the travel grant.

Applications should be signed by the students and their advisors and submitted via e-mail, preferably as a PDF attachment, to the following address: student_travel_grant@dsn.org.

Applications must be received no later than May 31, 2025.

Questions or comments about Student Travel Grants submission/selection should be directed to the committee at: student_travel_grant@dsn.org.
